Tusk Porcelain 570091 from the P K Lifestyles Inspired by India-Villa D'Ascoli Collection is a printed linen blended drapery and upholstery fabric. Peter D'Ascoli began his love affair with his adopted homeland India four decades ago. He was inspired by the artisanal textile mavens who have impacted the intricacy of Indian design on his unique vision. To give you an idea of the scale, the elephant measures approximately 6 inches in height. Tusk has a repeat of 27 inches vertical by 27 inches horizontal and not only can be used for drapery, curtain, sofa, chair and couch fabric, but also for throw pillow fabric, cornice board fabric, top of the bed applications and as headboard fabric.

Railroaded fabrics are simply fabrics that have designs turned "sideways" on the roll. The process was developed to aid furniture manufacturers wishing to cut and sew covers on furniture without seams. Since most fabrics woven are approximately 54" wide, any furniture piece wider than 54" would require seaming two pieces of fabric together. Railroading solves this dilemma, now a cushion piece can be covered without seams no matter what the width. Railroaded fabric is very desirable by designers since they can be more creative. When using a railroaded product for drapery, be aware of the panel size in relation to the design.
