Okayama Flax is a printed drapery and upholstery fabric. The pagodas symbolize the path to heightened awareness and heightened perception. This beautifully colored print contains the colors Powder Blue, Navy Blue, Fresh Green, Branch Brown, and Light Rose against an Off White background. To give you an idea of the scale, a typical pagoda measures 8 inches in height while the overall pattern repeat measures 26.25 inches vertical by 27 inches horizontal. Okayama can be used not only for drapery and upholstery fabric, but also as throw pillow fabric, cornice board fabric, curtain fabric, top of the bed applications and as headboard fabric.

Railroaded fabrics are simply fabrics that have designs turned "sideways" on the roll. The process was developed to aid furniture manufacturers wishing to cut and sew covers on furniture without seams. Since most fabrics woven are approximately 54" wide, any furniture piece wider than 54" would require seaming two pieces of fabric together. Railroading solves this dilemma, now a cushion piece can be covered without seams no matter what the width. Railroaded fabric is very desirable by designers since they can be more creative. When using a railroaded product for drapery, be aware of the panel size in relation to the design.
