Description
Marco Festival is a printed drapery and upholstery fabric. Printed in Europe this beautiful plaid pattern has the appearance of a hand painted watercolor. Marco is 100% polyester making this an easy fabric to clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent. In addition, when Marco is tested for abrasion, it receives a heavy duty rating making this a great choice for everyday use. The repeat of the plaid is 7.125 inches vertical by 7.75 inches horizontal. In addition to drapery, curtain, sofas, chairs and couches, Marco can be used for throw pillow fabric, cornice board fabric, top of the bed applications and as headboard fabric.

Railroaded fabrics are simply fabrics that have designs turned "sideways" on the roll. The process was developed to aid furniture manufacturers wishing to cut and sew covers on furniture without seams. Since most fabrics woven are approximately 54" wide, any furniture piece wider than 54" would require seaming two pieces of fabric together. Railroading solves this dilemma, now a cushion piece can be covered without seams no matter what the width. Railroaded fabric is very desirable by designers since they can be more creative. When using a railroaded product for drapery, be aware of the panel size in relation to the design.
