Eliana 178 Silk from Covington is a beautiful, printed multipurpose fabric. This is a print in the colors Fern, Paper white, Sand, Bluebell, Taupe and Light Rose with a Soft Green background. Sophistication is achieved by combining a beautiful vine floral with a stylized bird and butterfly in these colors. This elaborate print was inspired by an original painting from a British studio. The original artwork was painted in a very intricate and detailed manner using a delicate watercolor technique. Eliana captured the look of this original design by retaining the niceties and the details from the original painting. Eliana is printed on a 100% cotton slub base cloth in order to enhance the look and add surface texture throughout. The overall pattern has a repeat of 26.75 inches vertical by 27 inches horizontal. This stunning fabric can be used for drapery and curtain fabrics, cornice board fabric, throw pillow fabric, top of the bed applications, headboard fabric and furniture upholstery fabric.

Railroaded fabrics are simply fabrics that have designs turned "sideways" on the roll. The process was developed to aid furniture manufacturers wishing to cut and sew covers on furniture without seams. Since most fabrics woven are approximately 54" wide, any furniture piece wider than 54" would require seaming two pieces of fabric together. Railroading solves this dilemma, now a cushion piece can be covered without seams no matter what the width. Railroaded fabric is very desirable by designers since they can be more creative. When using a railroaded product for drapery, be aware of the panel size in relation to the design.
